Overview<\/h2>\n

The Work With Product<\/strong> window is used to search for, create, and manage products in bizwizIQ\u00ae Order Manager.<\/p>\n

Products are organized into Product Families and may contain multiple Product Details representing different sizes, colors, styles, or configurations.<\/p>\n

From this window, you can add new products, modify existing products, duplicate products, merge duplicate records, and access product inventory information.<\/p>\n

Searching for Products<\/h2>\n

The search options at the top of the Work With Product window allow you to quickly locate products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Status<\/td>\nFilter products by their assigned status.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Type<\/td>\nFilter products by product type, such as Finished.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Family<\/td>\nDisplay products belonging to a selected Product Family.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Name<\/td>\nSearch for products by name.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Supplier SKU<\/td>\nSearch using the supplier’s SKU.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Retail SKU<\/td>\nSearch using the retail SKU.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Show only Track Inventory<\/td>\nDisplay only products configured for inventory tracking.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

How to Search for a Product<\/h3>\n

  1. Open the Work With Product<\/strong> window.<\/li>\n
  2. Enter a product name or SKU, or select one or more search filters.<\/li>\n
  3. Click Search<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Review the matching products displayed in the list.<\/li>\n
  5. Select the desired product and click Modify<\/strong> to open its information.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The product list displays the Name, Family, Type, Status, and Inventory Tracking indicator for each product.<\/p>\n

    The bottom of the window displays the number of products loaded compared with the total number of products.<\/p>\n

    Product Management Functions<\/h2>\n

    The buttons on the right side of the window provide the following functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

    Adding a New Product<\/h2>\n

    1. Click New<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    2. The Maintain Product window opens.<\/li>\n
    3. Enter the product’s general information.<\/li>\n
    4. Assign the appropriate Product Family and Supplier.<\/li>\n
    5. Add the individual Product Details.<\/li>\n
    6. Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Modifying a Product<\/h2>\n

      1. Locate the product using the search options.<\/li>\n
      2. Select the product.<\/li>\n
      3. Click Modify<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      4. Update the appropriate information.<\/li>\n
      5. Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Duplicating a Product<\/h2>\n

        The Duplicate function simplifies creating new products that are similar to existing products.<\/p>\n

        For example, if a supplier introduces a new tumbler similar to one already in Order Manager, you can duplicate the existing product and update the necessary information.<\/p>\n

        1. Select the product to duplicate.<\/li>\n
        2. Click Duplicate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        3. Review the copied product information.<\/li>\n
        4. Update the product name, SKUs, pricing, and other applicable information.<\/li>\n
        5. Save the new product.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Important:<\/strong> Review the duplicated information carefully to ensure the new product has the correct details.<\/p>\n

          Merging Duplicate Products<\/h2>\n

          The Merge<\/strong> function is used to combine duplicate product records into a single product.<\/p>\n

          This helps maintain an organized product database and reduces duplicate product entries.<\/p>\n

          1. Locate and select the duplicate product.<\/li>\n
          2. Click Merge<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          3. Follow the prompts to select the product records to combine.<\/li>\n
          4. Review the selected products.<\/li>\n
          5. Complete the merge operation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Important:<\/strong> Verify that the correct products are selected before completing the merge. The merge may affect product references and related information.<\/p>\n

            Bulk Pricing Adjustment<\/h2>\n

            The Bulk Pricing Adjustment<\/strong> function provides access to tools for adjusting prices across multiple products.<\/p>\n

            This is useful when supplier costs change or when selling prices need to be updated for a group of products.<\/p>\n
